On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, our students wear:
(a) Red polo with school logo (short sleeve)
(b) Khaki-colored bottoms (NO SKIN TIGHT BOTTOMS)
(c) Black or brown belt
(d) Solid color socks with no patterns or logos
(e) Tennis shoes (ALL WHITE OR ALL BLACK SHOES)
On Wednesdays, our students wear:
(a) White oxford shirt
(b) Tie (red crossover tie or red tie for girls and red tie for boys - bowties are also acceptable)
(c) Khaki long pants, shorts, or skirts (NO SKIN TIGHT BOTTOMS)
(d) Dress shoes (tan suede bucks or black or brown dress shoes for boys, white and black saddle oxfords, or black or brown shoes for girls)
Midtown jackets are the only jackets that can be worn throughout class (NO HOODIES)

The following supplies are required for all students.
We have worked hard to cutdown our required supply list as much as possible. Please help us ensure that these supplies are procured.
Bring these items to each class throughout the year:
(a) Pens and sharpened pencils should be brought to every class every day.
(c) Zipper pencil pouch (no art boxes)
(d) 1 three-prong folder (it is suggested that you purchase a plastic folder, since this will be used year-round in your literacy class) - click here for an example
(e) Loose leaf notebook paper
(f) Earbuds (small, no big headphones)
(g) GRADES 6 + 7 ONLY: Basic calculator with square root and sign change buttons - click here for an example (bring to math class every day)
(h) GRADE 8 ONLY: TI-30 scientific calculator - click here for an example (bring to math class every day)
Bring these items to contribute to your homeroom class:
(a) 2 containers of disinfectant wipes
(b) 2 rolls of paper towels
(c) A bottle of hand sanitizer
(d) 2 boxes of facial tissues
Some classes may require a limited number of additional supplies, such as a 3-ring binder, notebooks, or folders.
All students are required to read AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING BOOKS and AT LEAST ONE BOOK OF YOUR CHOICE. STUDENTS WILL BE ASSESSED ON THEIR READING OVER THE SUMMER WHEN THEY RETURN TO SCHOOL!!!
Students about to enter grade 5: Read one book of your choice and one of the following: “Bridge to Terabithia” by Katherine Paterson, “Matilda” by Roald Dahl, or “Bud, Not Buddy” by Christopher Paul Curtis
Students about to enter grade 6: Read one book of your choice and one of the following: “Wonder” by R.J. Palacio, “The Lightning Thief” by Rick Riordan, or “President of the Whole Sixth Grade” by Sherri Winston
Students about to enter grade 7: Read one book of your choice and one of the following: “The Giver” by Lois Lowry, “The Lightning Thief” by Rick Riordan, or “The Hate U Give” by Angie Thomas
Students about to enter grade 8: Read one book of your choice and one of the following: “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton, “Lost and Found” by Anne Schraff, or “The Hate U Give” by Angie Thomas
We can't wait to see you for New Student Orientation on Friday, August 2!
The event will be held from 9am until 3pm on Friday, August 2, at our school: 301 Adelle Street.
All new students must attend New Student Orientation, and at least one parent or guardian of each new student must attend as well.
Busses will not run on this day. Guardians should please plan to drive students to orientation.
