Who can attend Midtown Public Charter School?

  • Residency requirement: If you live in Jackson, Miss., you may be eligible to attend. If you do not live in Jackson, you may still be eligible to attend if you attend a school district with a C, D, or F rating. Learn more about your school district.

  • Grade levels: You must be in grades 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8. (for more information about our primary campus for younger students, click here).

  • Hours of operation, arrival: You must be able to arrive to school between 7:30 and 8:00am each day (except for one school day per year which is a delayed start with arrival between 9:30 and 10:00). By either driving your student to school, having him or her walk, or having him or her take our bus, you must be able to ensure your student can arrive on time each day.

  • Hours of operation, departure: School ends at 3:40pm most days, and at 2:00pm on Wednesdays. We do have a free onsite afterschool program that your student may qualify for (spots are sometimes limited). By either picking your student up from school, having him or her walk, or having him or her take our bus, you must be able to ensure your student can depart at the designated time each day.

  • Free: It does not cost any money to attend Midtown.
